By applying process systems used in many other industries, Stephen has identified areas in healthcare that can be improved significantly and communication is just one of these. Stephen is committed to delivering an industry leading solution that works along side healthcare professionals and government bodies with the end goal of improving healthcare.


Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder


Jessica is Chief Medical Officer of Celo and currently works as a surgical registrar at Middlemore hospital. Jessica brings experience in a healthcare setting and is committed to creating a secure and effective way of communicating patient information in real time. Jessica’s focus is a patient centered model which puts the patient’s safety and outcomes first.


Senior Software Architect

Rob has 10+ years experience with building complex technical solutions. Rob started using core technologies such as public cloud, angular, & data mining years before most. Rob is great with managing people, products and projects. Rob loves working with an energetic and talented team, building something widespread and useful that we all share passion and belief in.


Head of Software Development

Tom has 10+ years experience in web, consumer product and application development. Over the past seven years, Tom has led a wide range of technical teams over a number of software development projects. Tom possesses expert knowledge in software engineering and development, working with embedded systems, programming and product development. Tom is results driven, and excels at finding solutions to problems and building things from the ground up.


Service Delivery Manager

Brett’s an ambitious and outcomes-focused IT professional with 8+ years experience in IT Service Management. He specialises in strategic business planning, continual product and process improvement, and client engagement. Brett is passionate about achieving outstanding results for businesses, clients, and himself, by exceeding expectations of end to end delivery. Boasting a strong academic background and a proven track record in bringing value to business, Brett possesses a valuable analytical and process driven mind that can create innovative solutions to seemingly intractable problems.


iOS Lead

Ingrid has been a software developer for 5 years and has experience in web and mobile development. Ingrid is highly skilled in programming languages such as Java, PHP, C#, MySQL, Objective-C and Swift, and is currently focusing on iOS Development. Ingrid is consultative, detail-oriented and passionate about developing with the best user experience in mind.


Android Lead

Franco has 9+ years of experience in software development and has worked with a wide range of platforms in various industries. Franco possesses expert knowledge in e-learning content, rich interactive media, various SaaS platforms, and native Android & iOS mobile apps. Franco is currently specialising in Android development using Java and Kotlin.


Business Intern

Jack is interning at Celo for his summer break. He is a freshman studying Economics and Business at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Jack brings a budding mind to Celo and alternative views from his younger demographic. Jack hopes to learn about the inner workings of a small company operating on the global stage and hopes to build experience in business on his path towards working in the finance and investment industry.




Chairman and Director

John is a 25-year IT industry veteran, and has served as an Executive Officer with various international companies. He co-founded CSSL Group in 1983 and served as its Managing Director for 16 years. Prior, John served as General Manager in Asia for an Australian-based worldwide mid-range software distributor, and as a consultant in the areas of ERP and Finance in the U.K. and Europe. He has significant enterprise software and entrepreneurial experience holding a number of senior management positions with global companies in the IT industry, including the non-executive chairman of Praxa Limited, chairman of CDC Software Corporation, chairman of Cargonet/Arena Ltd and non-executive chairman of Corgi International Ltd.



Nigel has successfully acquired or launched a number of businesses and through applying out-of-the-box thinking and working collaboratively with a network of clever business people, has enjoyed both challenges and rewards. He takes a long-term strategic approach, continually moves forward and is decisive in decision-making. Nigel’s corporate background, a central focus of his private ventures, mixed with hands on experience in virtually all aspects of his investments has assisted success for all involved. Past and present private ventures include a chain of childcare centres, an Australian network of 150+ bookkeeping franchises, a $200 million plus per annum Australasian business-finance network, and a B2B digital marketing communications company.



Gabe Rijpma is Microsoft’s Sr. Director Health & Social Services for Asia. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, Gabe’s responsibilities include leading the teams responsible for meeting the needs of healthcare customers and health technology companies across the greater Asia Pacific region. A seasoned global trekker, he spent 18 years of his career in Singapore, the USA and Australia before returning to his homeland in late 2015.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Gabe worked as Principal Consultant at Software Spectrum in Sydney, Australia, where he led the business solutions practice. His early career was spent as an entrepreneur and early pioneer in the Internet building numerous online businesses.



Clinical Advisor

Victoria is a Consultant Dermatologist in public and private practice in Christchurch,  and is Head of Dermatology at Christchurch Hospital. She is interested in the use of teledermatology to improve efficiency and patient outcomes, particularly in under-resourced hospital departments across New Zealand. She is on the executive committee of the New Zealand Dermatological Society and is the social media lead for DermNet New Zealand, the world renowned online free dermatology resource for patients and doctors, visited by 2 million people per month.


Clinical Advisor

John claims to be the widest serving Paediatrician in New Zealand, looking after patients from Haast to Karamea in the west, then out to the Chatham Islands in the east.  He travels a lot, but not as much as his patients, and so is always looking for ways they can receive a high level of care closer to home.  He is the Clinical Lead for Telehealth in the Canterbury and West Coast District Health Boards, and has previously been Chair of the New Zealand Telehealth Forum.


Clinical Advisor

Richard is a Radiologist with New Zealand’s largest private radiology group, Pacific Radiology. Over his 25 + years in medicine he has seen the transition from plain films, viewboxes, dictaphones and typists through to fully digital medical imaging with workstation based reporting using voice recognition software with instant electronic distribution of reports.
He has a keen interest in technology, and is excited for the potential huge benefits in efficiency, diagnosis and treatment that today’s computing power will bring.


Clinical Advisor

Lik is a New Zealand based GP located in Timaru with a keen interest in using IT to enhance routine clinical care.  At his local clinic, patients can consult electronically; their practice uses speech-to-text software for clinical notes. Dr Loh’s PhD research had a health policy focus, and used large datasets.  Lik also has a DHB governance role, and is a frequent advocate of IT solutions.
